  • Silhouettes of two human heads facing each other on a pink background, with a pink arrow indicating communication or transfer between them. The left head has tangled blue lines representing confusion or emotional distress, while the right head has a blue spiral representing calm or focus. The text 'EMDR' is above the heads, indicating Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy.

    Trauma Therapy

I am a Certified EMDR trauma therapist since 2018. This approach involves coping skills, building a relationship, addressing core beliefs (e.g., I’m not a good person), and using a trauma-informed approach to process traumatic experiences. For people with 1-2 isolated incidents, this can take as little as 6-10 weeks. For people with a history of several chronic traumas (complex trauma/C-PTSD), this may take months. However, I have seen individuals make the most progress in the shortest amount of time using this approach. This approach can be done via in-person sessions or telehealth.

    Talk Therapy

Therapy provides a healing relationship, within which the client can achieve change. The best results are often achieved in therapy through the client practicing skills in their every day life, making changes to priorities, setting new boundaries, and sometimes even changing professions or jobs. Listening to your own priorities and values and seeing how you really feel about an issue is always a goal for my therapy clients. I want you to be in touch with your inner compass and feel confident making decisions that are right for you, regardless of how others react. Talk therapy is available via in-person sessions or telehealth.

    Grief Counseling

For most of my career, I have not offered grief counseling. In 2025, I lost my father suddenly. While this has been a devastating loss, it also put me in touch with what it’s like to live with grief on a daily basis. Waves of grief, feeling like you’re not the same person you used to be, and intense emotions are all a normal response to grief. I now believe you have to have gone through loss to be a grief counselor. I am here to help through the highs and lows of life, and helping you re-define who you are despite tragic loss.
